This is the final post before the slate is ready to go live!

Just about everything is being finalized for the smartslate project. Testing has shown the clock to have less than one frame drift well over 30 hours, but to be safe the official stated tolerance will be less than one frame over 24 hours (same as competitors).  Most of the manufacturing process is nailed down. Only main concern left is who will be making the wooden parts. Sometime late October expect to see a Kickstarter campaign and a new company website up for this slate. So keep your eye out for the announcement and link!

The picture above is cold weather test just starting, and with no cold weather in San Diego to the refrigerator it is:-P It will be compared to another slate running at 90F degrees. According to the specs of the components this will may add to the drift of no more than 1 frame over 24 hours. We will see at the end of the test:-)
